Banking Law & Financing ‒ Wrap-Up 2017
On 21 September 2017, an early bird event on the topic “Banking Law & Financing ‒ Wrap-Up 2017” was held at the Binder Grösswang premises in Vienna.
During this event, which was attended by more than 40 interested listeners, the Binder Grösswang partners Stefan Tiefenthaler and Emanuel Welten presented an update on currents developments in banking law, including the following:
- New decisions by the Supreme Court on the admissibility of negative interest rates, loan processing fees, and the liability of lending banks for violations against the prohibition of repayment of contributions
- Planned study by the Directorate-General (DG) for Competition of the European Commission on the implications of loan syndication for competition law
- Consequences of “Brexit” on loan documentation
